SPIN SESSIONS

The 2015 Fall Spin Sessions will be starting on Thursday September 24th. The sessions will be every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:45pm to 8:15pm and every Saturday morning from 8:00am to 10:00am at the Jericho Hostel in Vancouver. These spin sessions are professionally coached by Andrew Powell with every workout in the program designed with a specific purpose to help you become a stronger cyclist.

Each weekday evening session is 90 minutes long (with the option to stop after 60 or 75 minutes for those who wish to do a shorter workout) and the Saturday morning session is 2 hours with a focus on endurance. Workouts start with a dynamic warm-up which includes cycling specific drills and technical skills coaching and is followed by a structured interval based workout with specific cadence and intensity zones assigned (RPE, Heart Rate, Power). The workouts are designed to help you improve your overall strength, power, technical skills as well as your aerobic and muscular endurance.

You need to bring your own bike. You can attach your bike to one of the provided Cycleops bike trainers or you can bring your own trainer and save money. Doing workouts on your own bikehelps to improve neuromuscular coordination by training your nervous system to move in the exact same pattern as when you ride outdoors. This helps to increase efficiency and ultimately ride faster.
